Students Commit to Play College Sports

Seniors Christopher Murphy, Emily Moharter, Theodore Bleich, and Brandon Davis posing with their Letters of Intent.

On Friday, Apr. 21, seniors Christopher Murphy, Emily Moharter, Theodore Bleich, and Brandon Davis signed their Letters of Intent in the Lector Room.

Murphy committed to play soccer at the Albion College next fall.

“I’m happy to see him play in college,” varsity soccer coach Jim Stachura said. “Another student-athlete from Troy High; not only good in the classroom, but good on the playing field.”

Moharter committed to bowl at Adrian College. Moharter was on the All League Third Team and received the Oakland Honorable Mention.

Bleich committed to play soccer at Northwest University. Bleich originally committed to play lacrosse at Northwest, but his club soccer coach convinced him to play soccer.

Davis committed to run track at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. Davis has run both track and cross country.

“It takes a great deal of hard work, motivation and effort to be sitting where you’re sitting today,” bowling coach Dave Scillion said. “You have a great deal of support that got you here.”
