This morning, the Mackin School District began a mass layoff of all teachers in their schools, claiming AI would make for a better learning experience after the AI Enactment ACT proposal passed earlier this month by the Mackin School District Board of Education.
Drania Elementary School principal calls AI programs “perfectly healthy for a child’s development.” In light of this, a new change was passed in part of the AI Enactment Act, saying these programs and style of learning are now a required part of the standard curriculum throughout all grade levels.
When asked about her opinion concerning AI after the loss of her job, Charlie Opel, a Sylvia High School English teacher, had this to say, “AI makes life immensely easier. After all, who needs to know how to write when you have DeepSeek? I haven’t had to grade one essay this year!”
The reaction from the public expressed much enthusiasm for the new changes. Many streets were filled with parades of extreme support for the AI fueled changes. Notably, there were many signs made with the AI programs. One was spotted saying, “Hail the AI overlords!” It also pictured a large print of the ChatGBT logo.
“I believe this will be a good change.” States Callum Patrick, a PTO member of Sylvia High School. “It will cut back on human interaction and critical thinking by 78%.”
Even though parents were momentarily against the idea due to child care issues now that children were home more, the Mackin School District has promised a low cost solution. ChatGBT has now been repurposed as a nanny for when parents are away at work during the day. Many were enthusiastic at the safe, cost saving and efficient replacement. House fires for children under ten have been up 40% a day after the switch.
The city’s top specialists prove that AI can now substantially improve the efficiency of a regular school day. From writing flawless essays, to giving completely correct answers 100% of the time to making very meaningful and inspiring artistic pieces. School days have reduced from seven hours on average to only two, an average of only 20 minutes spent on each class.
Elowen Lyda, a senior at Sylvia High School, had this to say, “Now I can spend so much more time on the things that matter. Scrolling on social media.” This opinion is echoed by almost all high school students in the school district.
This act by the Mackin School District has inspired a nation wide movement, an AI takeover spreading to almost all school districts as fast as Covid 19. Many schools are making the advancements necessary to remove all staff from the schools. Overall, a very bright future for the world, and the people, who will definitely not be replaced by AI in the subsequent years.
