Photo Gallery: Writers’ League Poetry Slam
On March 22, Writers’ League held their second Poetry Slam event in the media center after school. Members each prepared their own poems and shared their work aloud in front of the club, covering a variety of topics from depression to soccer teams. Board members Isabell Ku, Reza Gupta, and Aditi Arya encouraged first-time spectators to join the club, and club advisor Joey Verhelle recommended the Creative Writing course to any interested writers.

Anjali Sanil is a senior in their third year with The Chariot. Last year, they were the Graphics Editor, and this year, they are the Print Editor. They love working with The Chariot because they love writing about interesting topics and working with other people. They have won multiple MIPA awards in various categories, for graphics and for stories, and they love writing about news and science. Their favorite stories that they have written are "Colt Case" and "The Pride Month You Never Heard Of." In their free time, they enjoy art, video games, playing guitar, and spending time with their cat.
