From his room on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay hotel in Las Vegas, Stephen Paddock opened fire at the Route 91 Harvest music festival on Oct. 1.  He killed 58 people and injured roughly 500 more, making the Las Vegas attack the deadliest mass shooting committed by an individual in the history of the United States.

Paddock also may have had plans to target other music festivals prior to Route 91 Harvest. He reportedly booked two rooms in Chicago from August 3 through 6, the weekend of the Lollapalooza music festival, at the Blackstone Hotel, which is located directly across from Grant Park, wherethe festival is held. However, Paddock never showed for his reservation. Senior Rebecca Prater attended Lollapalooza this past summer and says she’s horrified at the  possible danger.

“When you’re at a music festival, you don’t think about those dangers–everyone is just there to have fun,” Prater said. “It’s very terrifying to know that my close friends and I could have been targeted.”
