Troy High School’s own Boys Cross Country team has recently won the title of the Academic All State Award. With their practices starting as soon as the first week of summer, the team still manages to balance sports as well as their social and academic calendars.

“Making sure you schedule everything helps,” senior Adithya Sanjay explained. It has been over 10 years since Troy has gotten this far in the cross country championships.

“Getting this title was a pretty big deal for us,” Sanjay said. Maintaining a high GPA is not one of the easiest things to do while juggling sports. Sanjay also explained some things he makes sure he does to stay ahead.

“A lot of studying, doing homework, and getting things done in time,” Sanjay said. This might have been the first time in a while the team has achieved this title, but it won’t be the last.
