Although Valentine’s Day used to be a brutal tradition in Ancient Romans, today, senior Adriana Corbin sees it as a traditional holiday based on love and relationships.

“I love that it’s a day for the person that I love,” Corbin said.

Corbin spends on planning the day with her boyfriend since eighth grade, senior Ryan Amann.                                                                                                                                                                                  “I like Valentine’s Day,” Amann said. “It’s a good day for all of us to get together and spend time with the people we love.”

Amann said that he loves the holiday because it’s a day to just enjoy each other’s presences.

“I like how everyone isn’t mad and everyone’s together for one day of the year,” Amann said.

Corbin has the same sentiment.

“I look forward to Valentine’s Day because it’s a happy day,” Corbin said. “I think Valentine’s Day is about showing the people I care about how much I love them.”
