As part of the annual Activist Week benefiting Flint, students participated in a powerpuff volleyball tournament. Junior and senior boys signed up to play against each other one-on-one during an after-school tournament. All the proceeds from the week, including monetary donations, admissions to Mr. Troy High and admissions to powerpuff, benefit Doyle Ryder Elementary School. Senior Caitlin Smith helped organize the event and stressed the importance of monetary donations so the students in Flint can buy the necessities, as many of them still don’t have a reliable source of water.
