Troy High’s Student Government held volleyball matches against Junior and Senior boys as well as teachers to raise money for Colts For a Cause. 16 teams registered for the tournament and played elimination rounds until one team emerged as the victor. The Tidal Waves, a team of Seniors, included captain Bryce Parker, Kyle Parker, Zach Penoza , Nick Worrell and Arya Prasad who claimed the top spot after besting the Hot Cheetos in the final game.

Ria Gupta, Business Editor

Ria Gupta, also known by many as “Reza," is a junior at Troy High School and the Business Editor and a Body Copy Editor for The Chariot. During her first year with The Chariot, her favorite stories to write were “Colt Case," “No Longer ‘New’s” and “Fourth of They Lied." Gupta hopes that her second year will allow for continued opportunities to grow as a writer. Gupta enjoys tracking her personal family history through the Punjab Hills and everything to do with King Henry VIII. (Fun fact: Henry and Ria both have a shared love of strawberries and literature). As much as Ria loves learning about history, she also loves watching it being made, and strives to be able to report events in a manner where people in the future (and present) will enjoy reading her work.

Megan Sims, Staff Reporter

Megan Sims is a Freshman at Troy High School (the only freshman at the chariot) and is a Staff Reporter. She joined The Chariot to meet new friends and tell stories through her writing. She hopes when she is older to go into journalism at the UofM. In her free time, she loves her family, friends and pets. Megan likes to do horseback riding and volunteer at an animal rescue. Megan is very excited to show her passion for writing!
